ROSE + PATRICK’s Stern Grove killer dance party with zen nature vibes

When talking about EPIC dance parties, this one is up there. High up there. Man, Curry and Rose know how to throw a killer party. Whitney from HOG DJ’s deserves some credit too though. I know these pics look fairly peaceful and calm to you, and it was honestly that contrast that was so beautiful and fun.

Stern Grove is and will be one of our favorite spots in the city. Forever and always. Nothing beats a ceremony under the redwoods.

ASHLEY & MATTHEW'S CENTRAL COAST VINTAGE BARN WEDDING

Just a touch of Lord of the Rings on a natural and elegant background took this wedding from country to whymsical.  Even though the space is awesomely rustic and prefect for a larger wedding, it is a barn in January and yes on the other side of that wood there is cows. 

Ashley and Matthew loved the rustic romance of their wedding but wanted to stay away from country cliches as burlap and mason jars. With maintaining an appreciation for the natural and rustic feel of the space we created an airy and light feel using lots of whites, soft colors and greenery. 

Without a huge design budget we DIY-ed the cr*p out of this event. The highlight was a super fun Makers Party at the couples new house including all their besties and closest family. 

Some of the highlights included the amazing lettering work by Caitlin Winter, the Lifewater Donation party favors (donate to a cause you feel passionate about in name of your guests!), the hot and fresh mini donut camper that pulled up right after dinner and of course that flower crown by Lori Boe florals. Just wow.

JESSICA & ALEX' SONOMA GETAWAY GONE WILD

Nothing like the shared love for Led zeppelin to connect a couple that truly was made for each other. The design of this wedding is so pretty & romantic, but don't be fooled by a bride with a whiskey flask in her garter; this lady has some edge.

This wedding was SO fun,  Jess and Alex are as welcoming as they come, making the lines between vendors & guests sliver thin. It was more as if we were all having a big party together. Was the highlight of the night the officiant and the photographer doing a 'California Dreamin' rap off? Or was it when the best man won the go cart race versus the kitchen staff? You pick.

ANNIE & NATE'S WINE COUNTRY EXTRAVAGANZA

Annie took Zumba lessons for her dream dress and Nate joined her class,  because that IS the definition of real love. They are complete foodies, so no surprise their classy wedding was at Michelin starred Calistoga getaway SOLAGE. The flower installations by Chestnut&Vine were well, all that you can expect from an artist like Svenja. Floating floral spheres, mossy succulent wall, need I say more?

ERIN & ANDREW'S CITY BASH

Erin loves cheese, I mean LOVES cheese. So we welcomed her crowd to the ultimate cheesy wedding: Mac N Cheese by STRAW Catering , THE CHEESE BANDIT Grilled cheese truck parked out front and an actual 'cheese cake' for a wedding cake. The exposed brick of Firehouse 8 was the perfect backdrop for their intimate whiskey infused city bash.
